Safe Place for Animals is Hiring an Animal Care Attendant Near Gallatin, TN

WE'RE HIRING Animal Care Attendants at Safe Place for Animals, an animal rescue shelter/pet adoption center in Gallatin, TN.

Full-time and part-time positions but both MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS! We care for the shelter animals seven days a week, 365 days a year including weekends and holidays. The Animal Care Attendants' hours are 7:00 am - 5:00 pm.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Care for and interact with the shelter dogs and cats

-Tend to and clean the dog kennels, cat rooms and general shelter areas (including sweeping, mopping, scooping litter boxes, etc.)

-Laundry (blankets and towels) and wash pet dishes and buckets

-Keep dogs' and cats' bowls filled with fresh water and food

-Leash walk dogs and rotate individual dogs and dog groups for potty breaks and outside exercise/play time in fenced yards

-Introduce dogs and cats to potential adopters

-Other responsibilities as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

-Be at least 18 years old

-Be DEPENDABLE, hard-working, focused, be able to multi-task and work in FAST PACED ENVIRONMENT, work well with others (both people and animals)

-Be able to physically work on your feet the majority of the day (both inside and outside), lift and carry heavy items, and dogs if needed

-Have reliable transportation to work

-And most importantly, MUST LOVE DOGS AND CATS! They depend on us every day! The right person for the job will understand the importance of this and their dependability to show up for the animals as scheduled.
